For this session the three of us headed down to the Toronto beaches area for a quick shoot in a unique neighbourhood. It was fun getting to know them and watching them eat ice cream and I can’t wait for their wedding in a week! See you soon.

I met Quynh and Tu through mutual friends and way back last year they took up my offer of an engagement session with a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society to raise money in the annual Relay for Life event. Anyways we finally did the session a few weeks back out in an old abandoned golf course and we had a blast despite the mosquitoes! Finally an update! I’ve been super busy these last few weeks as I have been traveling to many exciting destinations for weddings and I am a bit behind on updating my blog, emails, and editing. Hopefully now that I am back in Toronto I can get through everything at a faster pace. A while back I was invited to photograph Andrea and Chuck’s wedding in Vancouver. It was my first “destination” wedding abroad, but stay tuned for another one in Jamaica and Cuba, and I had a fun time getting all my equipment through airport security. The wedding was probably one of the most packed and longest shoots I’ve ever done, but everything went well except for a minor eyelash mishap that a quick trip to MAC cosmetics fixed. Enjoy the photos! During this wedding I was very lucky to be reacquainted with my good friend and colleague Aaron Tam who assisted me on this wedding. His stuff is very different but always amazing.

I met Sue and Ben through friends and I am excited to be documenting their wedding later this year! At the beginning of this session while we were standing inside fields of flowers Sue suddenly started jumping around and dancing up and down! At first Ben and I thought she was crazy but apparently we had stumbled upon several giant ant hills! You can just imagine the hysteria that ensued afterward. I think it was worth it though for the shots in the flowers. Thanks for holding still for a few minutes Sue.

spencerfu: Hi Andy! I am not sure of the exact "specs" at the moment but what makes the photo special and interesting is most likely the unique lighting! If shooting natural light you have to take your time and find interesting lighting conditions that will make your subjects stand out in photos. Hope that helps.
INTRODUCTION:
Jing Jing and Graham finally tied the knot at a wonderful ceremony and reception at the National Club several weekends back. The day went super smoothly as the bride and some of the guests were able to stay overnight in the National Club like a mini-hotel, and both the ceremony, reception, and photos were held and taken in around the same place. It also helped that the groom got ready at his condo 2 minutes away! Weddings are usually pretty crazy and fast paced and one way to make sure things run as smooth as possible is if everything is close by through eliminating the uncertainty of too much traveling to get from venue to venue. Thanks for having me at your wedding and all the best while the two of you spend a year or two overseas in the UK! Also thanks to Ryan for coming out and assisting.
